Ostad Roshanak now lives in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. In summer 2007, the Iranian graphic designer of 33 years is partly a month in Afghanistan to work with the NGO Integrity Watch Afghanistan. An opportunity to testify in everyday images of the people of Kabul.
“I wanted to show what the life of Afghans looks like, but it is not miserabilism, without dramatizing their situation. Before leaving, I thought it would be difficult for a single woman to take pictures in Kabul, but I was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality of Afghans, who understood my approach. Their simplicity despite the difficulties of everyday life I was also impressed. “
